Can't say enough about how the servers here treat their customers. Always a smile, tons of patience with wending their way around the maze of tables, quick service...they seem to work as a team, which is always nice to see. The tables are packed in tight to the small space. This would normally bother me, but it all works. Fare is typical diner-ish food & prices are good. But the community atmosphere is what's notable. Small town dining with no bells & whistles, but consistent & friendly.

Great little spot for breakfast. Super service even though it was very busy...clearly a lot of local folks are regulars here...we came for a break from hotel breakfast. Had an asparagus and feta omelette. There are many great options to choose from & it was a great value. If I lived here I'd be in all the time!

Sunnyside Café offers fabulous breakfast and lunch options at reasonable prices. We come here every time we stay in Melbourne Beach and are never disappointed. Formerly called the Friendly Toast Café, the name changed about a year ago but the food and atmosphere is just as delightful as the previous incarnation. We've enjoyed the omelets, the corned beef hash, pancakes, biscuits & gravy, everything was delicious and satisfying. I wish the Sunnyside Café wasn't so far from home, I would be here ALL the time!!

We walked up on a busy Saturday at prime breakfast hour. We were welcomed with smiles from all the staff. Food was fast and fresh. Service even better. I will definitely enjoy breakfast there again.

I really enjoyed eating at Sunnyside. My family came in around 10:30 to a packed restaurant and we got the last empty table. We were greeted the second we stepped foot in the door! The service is fantastic. Our main server was extremely friendly and helpful and there were a few others who helped refill coffee. The prices are VERY reasonable. For the amount of food (and high quality), it's a steal. The four of us ate for under $40 and the portions were generous. The food itself is delicious and made fresh. Every dish was brought out individually, which was great because it kept hot. My omelet was great and my brother loved his waffle and the french toast is unique but great. The service, food, and pricing are all amazing. Wish I lived over here!

Wonderful surprise. Delicious breakfast and fantastic service. The food is very well made. We had a monte cristo sandwich as well as eggs with side bacon and toast. The monte cristo consisted of cinnamon French toast with ham and Swiss. Of course you have to have it with strawberry jelly. :) It was surprisingly good. I'm picky about monte cristos since this dish is a childhood favorite. It was good. The eggs and bacon were cooked very well. The bacon is a bit thinner than I like but it was fine. As stated before, the service was fantastic. Our server was so friendly and attentive. Quite impressed with her enthusiasm for the food. When I asked about two different dishes she didn't hesitate to give me her suggestions. Definitely will be back!
